vsauce creepypasta

Finally, a new video! It had been a few months since the last Vsauce video came out. This one’s title was a bit vague: “human vulnerability”. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was sure it would be interesting nonetheless.

“Vsauce, Micheal here.” He said before vanishing from the screen. Suddenly, I heard a voice from behind me.

“What if you were totally defenseless?”

I tore my headphones off and spun around. There was no one there. I must have just been imagining things. As I began to put my headphones back on, I heard a voice from inside my head.

*Humans are very flawed. They always make the same mistakes time and time again: refusing to set aside their differences and cooperate with their fellow man. No war has never made the world a better place.*

What was going on? Was I insane? I shut off my phone to make sure the video stopped playing.

“They step on others on their way to success. They agonize over the past while ignoring the issues of the present. They succumb to their worldly desires and primal instincts. And when they come upon an obstacle, they simply give up and call it impossible,” said a voice outside my bedroom door.

I ran to the door and opened it. There was no one there.

*But most of all, they are completely vulnerable without their tools. They think so highly of themselves because they dominate the world with their steel, but put a man in the wild on his own, and he will be torn to shreds.*

“SHUT UP!” I screamed. But it was no use.

*You think to yourself, “I’m not like those people. I’m kind to others. I’m not like them, I’m better than that.” You are wrong. When you treat others kindly, you always expect something in return. Your feelings of empathy are fake. You repulse and disgust me. And there is nothing different about you. You consider yourself significant when you are just another drop of water in the ocean, or a grain of sand on the shore.*

I felt someone’s cold hands wrap around my neck and begin to squeeze.

“Where are your blessed machines now, son of Adam? Where is your strength? Where is your government rushing in to save you? *Where is your god?*”

I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t even scream for help.

“I am your god now. And I will pour out my wrath upon the earth. You are all guilty. Not one of you will be spared.”

I felt my consciousness slipping away. I gave in and watched as the world around me faded away.

“And as always, thanks for watching.”
