I just ran into a sky striker player, and none of my floodgates did anything. They kept using quickplay spells to get card advantage. Then the next guy, “honest zombie player 420” kept summoning negates for free and then banished my deck so he could otk me?? Then the next guy, this lives twins player, he dodged all of my plays and had the nerve to ash my draws!? Then this next guy, I had all the outs but his deck actually had follow up plays. Wtf. I played my one negate spell for the turn and i didnt get to win for free? Then this timelords player kept normal summoning and burning me for all the cards in my hand 🙁 Then the Floo player spun all my cards back to my hand 🙁 Then the thunder dragons player kept summoning all his big bosses every turn 🙁 Dont even get me started on the 14 rogue decks ive never seen before that offered a totally new method of closing a victory out. Im starting to think a lot of strategies in yugioh are pretty good, and I can’t conceivably have a hard counter to literally everything at all times.
Anyways my takeaway is that they should be banned, yugioh is better as a homogenized gamestate where every deck does the same thing, with pictures of dragons or lolis on them.
