Barking with love

Stetson Bennett couldn’t believe he had done it. After four long years of hard work, struggles, and successes, he had finally won the college football championship. As the final seconds of the clock ran down, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of glee and pride that the team had come together and achieved the impossible.

In the locker room after the game, his teammates were buzzing with the excitement of the win. Stetson was still in disbelief that they had managed to pull off such an impressive feat.

As the celebrations carried on, Stetson could feel his gaze drift towards the one person in the room who always made him feel more alive than anyone else. Coach Kirby Smart.

Stetson had had a crush on his coach since the first day they met, but he had never been brave enough to act on it. He knew that his coach was married, he had been for years, and even though Stetson’s feelings for him still lingered, he had kept them firmly in check.

But in the locker room, surrounded by the joy of a momentous victory, Stetson’s feelings got the better of him. Without thinking, he walked up to Kirby and pulled him into a tight embrace.

Stetson felt his heart pounding against his chest as he finally embraced the man he had been dreaming about for years, and felt the coach’s strong arms around him as he returned the hug.

As his blood began to feel hot in his veins, Stetson pushed away, fearing his tight football pants would give him away. He then stood in front of his locker, still in shock at the fact that he had just led his team, the University of Georgia Bulldogs, to victory in the National Championship against TCU. He had always dreamed of this moment, but never actually believed it could happen. Despite this victory, he couldn’t keep his mind from drifting back to the previous moment with his longtime crush, Coach Smart.

As he was lost in thought, he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned to see Coach Smart, standing behind him with a huge grin on his face.

“Stetson, I just wanted to congratulate you on an outstanding performance tonight,” Coach Smart said, extending his hand. Stetson shook his hand and stammered out a thank you. His crush on his Coach had burned strong for years, and being this close to him was making it hard for him to think straight.

“Listen, I know you’ve been working your tail off for this moment. I’m proud of you, son,” Coach Smart said, patting Stetson on the back. Stetson couldn’t take it anymore. He had to tell Coach Smart how he felt.

“Coach, I have to tell you something,” he said, his heart racing. “I’ve had a crush on you for years. I know it’s probably inappropriate, but I can’t help how I feel.”

Coach Smart’s smile faded slightly and he looked at Stetson with a mix of surprise and understanding.

“Stetson, I had no idea,” he said. “But to be honest, I’ve had feelings for you too. It’s just that I never thought it was possible for us to be together.” Stetson’s eyes widened in shock. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

“Really?” he asked, hope rising in his chest.

“Yes, really,” Coach Smart said, stepping closer to Stetson.

Without another word, they leaned in and pressed their lips together in a passionate kiss.

The rest of the locker room faded away as they lost themselves in each other.

After a few moments, they broke apart, panting and grinning at each other.

“Well, I guess we have a lot to talk about,” Coach Smart said, chuckling.

“Definitely,” Stetson said, grinning back at him.

As they walked out of the locker room, hand in hand, Stetson knew that this was just the beginning of their love story.
